Last Thursday night was a great blessing. I was so proud to be a part of the Angels in Disguise Giddy Up Gala which was a huge reminder that we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. As we planned for the auction we hoped and prayed that God would move the attendees to donate generously so that we could give one family an adoption grant for a child with Down syndrome. The cost was $5,000. There was some uncertainty. Perhaps we would fall flat on our face on that last effort. Everything went so well throughout the evening. Then came the time for the appeal. Well, God is a provider and He provides for the lillies of the field and His little ones that He created special with Down syndrome. Tears filled my eyes as we raised $5,000. Then another 5K, and another, and another. Kept going to raise $25,000 to provide five little ones with their forever homes where they will have the opportunity to be loved by their families and introduced to our Lord Jesus Christ. What a blessing to be a part of it. Praise the Lord for His goodness and may He bless everyone who gave to and supported this event. Lives are changed forever because of it. Forever.
