Last Wednesday in the paper there was an article about my friend Rick. He has made some very bad decisions that has landed him in federal court on 25 counts of bank fraud and other related charges. Those of you who live around here know who Im talking about, and for you I want to add the following. Rick is a friend. He was my business landlord for many years and he very generously helped us to get started in NIxa with reduced rent for the first few years. He donated $1000 to the Nixa Rotary Club Park project though he is not a Rotarian, just wanted to help. He was also my insurance agent for many years and has helped countless people get through some tough times. I dont make any excuses for his offenses, but in spite of all, I still consider him my friend and would help if I could. I hurt for the pain both he and his family will go through in the coming months, and for his long trials ahead. I will keep you in my prayers old friend, and remind others not to judge too harshly until all the facts are out there. God can bring great things out of our worst trials and I know there is light at the end of your long tunnel. May the Lord grant you Peace as you walk through this valley.
