Last couple of days have been interacting with few of you, understanding what you do for your preparations. It’s a happy feeling to note that placement fever is viral in campus and hostel and most of you with different intensities are engaged in preparation. That’s a positive sign. But what some one shared was also important that many a times ‘ we miss the wider vision’ of what to prepare and how to prepare . what actually was being conveyed that you miss the wider canvass on which you need to work upon. For e.g. while going through business news, current affairs, one is not clear on what to pick and what to leave. This may happen because you may catching up with the latest very recently and since not in habit – you get confused. I think better is to join with someone who is already doing it for some time and is in habit of reading and listening. The other possibility is that your background (say IT) and preferences ( say sports, politics) predominates your choice in referring to the current affairs or your industry preference, profile preference prevails upon your choices. Something very natural to happen, but the need of the hour is to come out of that and consciously follow ALL what may be relevant. Slowly you will start liking it. And that’s where your habit and being regular helps. Just to give you a broader idea of the Canvass you should be looking for, I have picked up certain topics of relevance. Try them out.
