Last day to order your In Honour cards and help rescue pups. Todays Foster Feature are the two dogs on the cards that are being sent out for this fundraiser. Beau (on the left) is my Compassionate care foster. He came to us from the local pound and was in very poor health. He was malnourished, his hair and eyes were dull, he had lumps all over his body and the one on his front leg was cancerous. Beau was not expected to be with us very long because of this list of ailments but Animal Rescue Coalitions agreed to take him under their wing and let us care for him till the end. Well, that was over a year ago!! Beau has fattened up, his coat shines, he still has lumps and bumps but his cancerous tumor has shrunk and he is a happy, goofy boy who is thankful for people like you who help donate to his ongoing care. Grace or Honey Grace is the dog on the right. She also came from a very unfortunate situation. Tied to a horrid dog house she had litter after litter without care. She came to Marleys Hope Dog Rescue as a frightened and leery dog who just wasnt sure that she ever wanted to trust a human. We fostered Grace and with the help of our amazing pack of dogs and cats showed her how much fun you can have when you let your worries fall away and give people a chance. Grace was lucky enough to find a couple who were willing to take weeks getting to know her and letting her be comfortable with them too and she finally went to her new home. She will never have pups again, never sleep on the cold ground or have a chain tied to her neck. Without your help, dogs like Grace would never come inside and feel the kindness of a compassionate person. Thank you all for sharing the dogs in care over the past weeks. Happy Holidays everyone
