Last evening I offered a Captains position to Fiori McGuire for 2014-2015 and she accepted. Fiori joins Allison Weber and the two of them will be responsible for leading the team into the spring tryouts. Included in their duties will be organizing fund raisers, identifying potential recruits, encouraging participation in off season conditioning and maintaining team discipline and cohesion. Join me in congratulating Fiori on her selection. Between now and March 20th I will be selecting one or two more Captains depending on team needs. Qualities needed for consideration as a Captain include but are not limited to dedication to the sport, demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and timely to both coach, staff and teammates, proper grades, fairness, enthusiasm, responsibility, prompt payment of all obligations relating to team wear, fees and parental support is a plus but not a deal breaker.
