Last evening I was in a matatu and a policeman stopped us checked the matatu and found the tyres to be badly worn out. but instead of impounding the matatu, the passengers begged the policeman to let the matatu go and to my dismay encouraged the driver to part with kitu kidogo so we may be on our, now here is a public vehicle that is un- roadworthy yet we risk our lives to ride in it and encourage the police and driver to break the law. How do we expect our police to change or how do we except graft to end if we are not law abiding people?
