Last night 20 brilliant artists and 4 musicians donated about 50 items to sell at the Arts for the Orphanage event. We raised enough to shelter ALL 26 CHIDREN for the year! Pictured are some of the actual children we funded. As each orphan is placed within a home within the Kesho Leo Childrens Village (usually a family of 5), the cost to house a child for a month is only $2 ($24 for the year). We also covered the annual medical costs for 4 orphans. Many of the orphaned children in Tanzania are AIDS orphans and most have some additional medical needs. Healthcare costs for an orphan average about $5 a month (or $60 for the year). Dear friends, if you are able, would you mind helping me cover the healthcare costs for the remaining 22 dear children for a month or more? I would be SO SO very grateful. There is a link below.
