Last night, Carolina Poodle Rescue drove down to the Columbia SC - TopicsExpress

Last night, Carolina Poodle Rescue drove down to the Columbia SC to pick up 6 dogs (all on death row). We came back with 8. We have included a few of their stories below. We ask for your prayers for them. Here at CPR we rescue a lot of dogs. We never really know their condition until we get them here. Many are neglected physically, while others have never known love. And, there are others that have known love, but for whatever reason they are now with us. That’s why our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, offer permanent sanctuary and find loving homes for these dogs. All of our efforts are funded solely through adoption fees and donations. And, with your help, we will continue doing what we love to do. The two we added to our van are small American Eskimo dogs – we believe they are brothers (we have named them, “Klondike” and “Yukon”). They were abandoned at a house by their owners. Klondike had been hit by a car, but the neighbors waited a week before calling for help. So, this little boy with the broken leg has been unable to use his leg and has been in constant pain for a week now. He is now at the Vet. Please pray they can save his leg. We also brought back a Cocker Spaniel we have named, “Sherman”. We were told he was 8 years old, but the shelter paperwork has him listed as 14. Turned in by his owner. He is also at the Vet. But the story that will pull at your heart is a small Shih Tzu mix girl we have named, “Blossom”. It wasn’t until we got her back to the poodle farm last night that we realized her condition is even worse than we thought. Found as a stray, her time was up at the shelter. Severely matted, horribly thin and maggots covering her tiny body, she is in bad shape. Our grooming team worked on her this morning to remove the matted hair and maggots and give her a gentle bath. She is now at the Vet. Please pray that she will survive. We will share their pictures and keep you updated on them. Thank you for being a part of our team! Carolina Poodle Rescue
