Last night Channel 6 ran a story about a 71-year-old lady living in Tulsa, whose deceased’s husband guitar collection was stolen from her in early November. Three months to the day of the residential burglary (August), her husband died of cancer. Obviously, with the death of her spouse and the violation of her residence, life has been bleak for her during the last 6 months. After the story, Detective Soergel received a tip that the guitars were at a residence here in BA. Ian acted on the tip and recovered 11 guitars. The guitars were valued at over $75,000 including one at $35,000 and another at over $15,000. Two more were signed by music god Eric Clapton and one was a Wolfgang model (Van Halen). We decided to surprise the elderly victim and coordinated the return of the guitars to her with Channel 6 present. Story will be on at 10:00 tonight
