Last night, Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl sat down with Smithsonian Folkways Associate Director for Business Strategies, Richard Burgess in a public conversation as part of a screening of the Washington, D.C.-episode of the new HBO series, Sonic Highways. Grohl directed the 8-part docuseries, which in Grohl’s words is “a love letter to the history of American music.” The event took place at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in D.C., Grohl’s hometown.
