Last night, I attended a function hosted by a welfare organization for the poorest of the poor who aspire towards basic life skills and modest education. Part of the communitys attraction to the event was obviously the free food provided. Yet, here at Nkandla, this present government seemingly spent hundreds of millions on security for a few South Africans, while child rape and the abuse and exploitation of women continue unabated. 16 Days of activism! Would the president publicly donate the price of 1 lunch for all the governmental fat cats to make this problem go away, in the name of 16 days of activism?
