Last night I attended the wedding dinner of Tricia Yeoh and Danny - TopicsExpress

Last night I attended the wedding dinner of Tricia Yeoh and Danny Lim. The dinner was hosted by Tricias mother. Tricia is the Chief Operating Officer of IDEAS, an independent think tank. She has very strong interest and experience in the research field, having been a researcher of ASLI and some other institutions. She is also the former research officer to former MB of Selangor, Tan Sri Khalid. She has presented many papers in public forums and also published articles in media and books. She is young and smart! When I first received her sms invitation to attend her wedding ceremony at Janda Baik last month, I was surprised and replied her I am happy that finally you are married off.... ha ha... In most wedding dinners, usually it is the bridegroom who will deliver a speech. But last night, it was Tricia who spoke while her newly wed husband Danny stood quietly next to her. An active and intellectual woman needs a good listener at home. Looks like she has found the right companion and listener :-) In her speech, Tricia told the guests that she has to thank the DAP for match-making her and Danny Lim. Both of them first met during the last Sarawak state elections when they were DAP counting agents in a school in Sibu. This is a good advice for those who want to look for life partners-- volunteer to be counting and polling agents in the coming Sarawak state elections :-) Last night I was seated at the table with interesting personalities. Besides the controversial DAP MPs (Ong Kian Ming, Tony Pua), there were three eminent Indians (Tan Sri Ramon Navaratnam, Datuk Dr Denison Jayasooria and Dr K. J john) and their spouses. Yesterday was the birthday of Tan Sri Ramon too. So we sang a birthday song for him before we yelled yam seng with Tricia and Danny. It was really an enjoyable evening with good companies. May God grant Tricia and Danny a happy and blessed marriage :-))
