Last night I dreamed I was home, in the house I grew up in. I was - TopicsExpress

Last night I dreamed I was home, in the house I grew up in. I was in bed -- not my childhood bed in the girls room, but in the boys room. My mom was sitting at the foot of the bed, and I was telling her that I did not feel well, that my head hurt and that I thought I had a fever. The windows were closed and the blinds were all shut. My sleeping self knew that I did have a headache in real life, and I felt like I had a fever. In real life, I kicked the covers off. Mom felt my forehead in the dream and I felt my forehead in real life, and it was hot to the touch. Mom was not letting my grumpiness dampen her spirits - she was in a great mood, chatting and laughing and singing. Then she went off to my sisters room to visit. Come and see, she called out to me. I pushed the covers down in the dream and got up to join her. The door was open and all the windows were open to a gentle breeze, and the blinds on all three windows were open all the way up to the ceiling. Mom and Rebecca were looking out the window, sitting on the seat-couch with the stuffed animals. We were hurtling through a starlit night as though the whole house was a spaceship. I realized I was naked, but it did not matter at all. The experience of flying through space was magical, exhilarating. Then in real life there was a bang, and I woke up. I looked to see what time it was, and the power had gone out. For a while, I laid in my bed, just hurtling through space, riding my life like a roller coaster, bathed in wonder.
