Last night, I found out that there are not two, as I had thought, - TopicsExpress

Last night, I found out that there are not two, as I had thought, but THREE different tilesets I could use in the first slot. (Being in the first slot basically means its a basic tileset, like trees, mountains, grass etc for outdoors, or TVs, tables, walls, etc indoors.) It had been used in the original Ruby rom to store the graphics for all those items you could buy for your secret base. Since multiplayer isnt an option on emulated Pokemon games (as far as I know, anyway), I got rid of the secret base function. There were 7 tilesets specifically linked to the secret bases: one for all the items, and the other 6 for the different interiors (sandy, cave, bush, etc.) In these 6, the blocks are all linked somehow, so if I change a block on say, Tileset 32, itll change that same block on Tilesets 30, 31, 33, 34, and 35. However, I found a way to put these to work for me instead of against me. What I can do is load corresponding tiles for each of 6 different cave designs into the same spot on each of their tilesets, and then put the pieces together on the shared tileset. Its too difficult to explain without writing an essay here, but it basically means I only have to build the actual blocks for each of 6 different caves once! This should save me a bunch of time, and give me a lot more room to customize each cave, as well.
