Last night I got to go to Muskegons first Red Tent. Its a beautiful, safe, wonderful place for women. A place to be yourself. To celebrate each other. To laugh and cry. To nurture each other, love each other and learn to be strong, courageous, and love yourself. To know you are a Goddess! We watched the movie The Red Tent. Things we dont talk about. Isadora, who made this movie, came up from Chicago to set up a beautiful red tent, show the movie and help us to begin and create our own. The Red Tent movement is huge and growing leaps and bounds. I only knew two people there, one was Jessica NeCamp, who hosted it and is organizing the Red Tents here. Even though most of us didnt know each other, after that uplifting movie, that taught us just what a Red Tent is, that made us laugh and cry, that touched each and everyone of us, we came together! We sat in circle, introduced ourselves and already a sisterhood began to form. How wonderful! I did not know what to expect, most of us didnt. But after, we all knew we were definitely coming back. Next month I am leading the group discussion. How to discover your Gifts. How to use those gifts, How to be gifts to ourselves as well. And when we find our gifts, share our gifts, how powerful, how whole we become. It will be Dec 20th. I strongly encourage all of my sisters to please come. If not next month then one of the following months. She is holding a Red Tend once a month in her beautiful home. It was truly a blessing. And something I had most definitely needed. Please come! I can guarantee that you will absolutely NOT regret it! Here are some sites to get Info on what a Red Tent is: redtentmovie and FAcebook: redtentfilm
