Last night I had a helluva show at the Multiplicity cd release with Anupam Shobhakar. Everyone played great, Dan Weiss, Samarth Nagarkar, Jacob Sacks, Hans Glawischnig, but I cannot adequately describe what it was like to hear Pt. Anindo Chatterjee on tabla, much less play a tune with him, but I, and the whole band, were practically struck dumb by his ability. I can safely say that for one of the few times in my long years, I was in the presence of a Master, and when he and Dan Weiss played together it was ecstatic. I wish 1000 people had seen that.
