Last night, I had an interaction with another Alderman who took objection to my saying that schools were one of the top priority and needed budgeting as such. He felt that they were not, that safety is more important, and then infrastructure and trash removal. I believe communities with good schools have better safety, but schools and safety are critical top priorities to me.
