Last night, I joined in supporting the FY 2015 #Omnibus Spending Package - a strong conservative bill that advances meaningful reforms including: - Prohibiting taxpayer bailouts of unprofitable #Obamacare insurance plans. - Slashing funding for the #EPA and #IRS and prohibits funds for witch hunts targeting organizations based on political or religious beliefs. - Providing funds to eliminate the #VA’s disability compensation claims backlog by the end of 2015. - Prohibits any funding from being used for any #FastandFurious type activity - Establishing strong #SecondAmendment and #ProLife protections. - Providing a pay raise for our brave troops and fully funds cost-of-living adjustments for our honored veterans. - Protecting farmers from unnecessary #DoddFrank regulations requiring excessive collateral on farm loans. The bill also tightly restricts President Obama’s unconstitutional #amnesty plan by providing no new funding for amnesty-related activities, freezing the Department of Homeland Security budget at current levels, and providing DHS/immigration funding only through late February. This strategically shifted the fight against illegal amnesty to a more advantageous position for a Republican-led House and Senate to enact real reform and not a watered down plan acceptable to Senator Reid.
