Last night I learned a new traffic* trick: the sarcastic hazards. Lets say someone is going well below the speed limit, and there is no good way around them (one lane, double-yellow, or the other lane occupied by someone who has every right to take their time). Obviously there is something wrong with the vehicle, and not its operator, you say to yourself sarcastically. Welp!--better put on ma hazard lights! Then you can rest easy, looking @ the scenery that youve sped by a hundred times before with new eyes, knowing youre doing your part in the interest of public safety by advertising to your fellow drivers--and the operator of the distressed vehicle--that danger lies ahead, and that everyone should utilize the utmost in cautionary measures. *There were approx. five cars on the road, four of us behind the other guy; I was third in line following a soldiers Mom driving a Patriot, from whom I gathered this newfound information.
