Last night I learned quite a lot about grace. It is not something we can ever gain by works. Whether we are seeking grace from one another or from God. It is by grace through faith that we are saved from our destructive nature. Grace is solely a gift. A gift granted by God. We are Gods masterpiece. You understand what that means? We are Gods best piece of work. Out of everything which was created, we are the apex of His creations. We were created to do the good things God planned for us. If we are to be like God should we not at least try to replicate this gift of grace to our generation? Instead we condemn our peers for not believing like us or wasting their time wallowing in sin. We put them down to make ourselves feel better, to make our hearts feel better. Why waste so much time focusing on yourself when you know for a fact there are people out in the world who are living in worse conditions than you? Turn your attention outward and listen for those calling out for help. Be who God has called you to be. With this life granted to you come two absolutes. You will die. God loves you. With this knowledge why do you spend so much time doing unproductive things? Why have you floated through existence trying to prove yourself to others by works? This is not meant to convict you, but encourage you. So many times have I found myself on my knees again wondering about my life. Is this really all I am? Is this really all I am doing with my life? I drive by hundreds of people each week. Does my driving reflect I am a believer? Do my conversations with friends sound uplifting? Do I really deserve this grace given me? Who am I to deserve Gods gift? Sometimes I just want to tear this heart out of my chest and leave it out to rot. Because honestly? That is all I have got. A corrupt heart, blood stained hands, and a mind filled with worldly images. How can God love me let alone forgive me for what I have done? His grace covers all my sin and not only does it cover my sin, but it overflows! :D He is love. Love is God. So if you think you love someone, think about it. Really think about it.
