Last night I taught a second of two private lessons for a wedding couple who is getting married THIS weekend. Initially I thought they said they had two month before the wedding day. It turned out I was so wrong :-) However, to my own surprise they were able to learn (lead and follow) a baldosa box, an 8-count basic with a crusada, back ochos, forward resolution with forward ochos, an intro and a two kinds of endings with a dip (a must for a wedding dance ;-). At the end of their second lesson they were actually dancing together, moving as one, smiling and enjoying moving to the music (Elton John Your Song). The most valuable lesson they took away is REALLY LISTENING TO ONE ANOTHER! They were so adorable and I was so very proud of them :-) Working with couples is one of the most heart-warming experiences I have in my work as a dance instructor and life coach.
