Last night I thought Id have a culinary adventure and make pesto out of kale. I blended the kale and chopped garlic and grated parmesan and olive oil in the food processor, seasoned after tasting, etc., boiled up some rotini pasta (it holds sauce really well), mixed the pesto with the pasta, then served it up for dinner for me and the hubs, only to discover that, despite my best intentions and the overall legitimacy of the concept, it ended up tasting like garlicky pureed grass clippings.
