Last night I took the cat of a young Bedouin man to be sterilised - TopicsExpress

Last night I took the cat of a young Bedouin man to be sterilised (got the scratch marks to prove it :) ). As per usual, I brought her to my home to do the aftercare. Put her in my bedroom to sleep off the anaesthetic, checked up on her later and although still a bit groggy she was fine. This morning prepared her breakfast and medication and went to open the door ... which would not budge. Now, you must know, that the door has no door handle or lock ... just a small flat bolt inside and outside two cuphooks with a hairband and string tied around them to keep the door closed. Push and kick as I might, the door would not budge. Soon realised that she must have somehow jumped up at the door and in doing so, slid the bolt into place. Panic stations this side. Frantic smss and phone calls... and eventually my neighbour came to help. Of course had to close all the doors and windows in case she does a bolt (pardon the pun) when the door opens. Three very hefty shoulder bumps later the door opened, and yes, she had managed to close the bolt. Thank goodness for fantastic neighbours ... door is fixed again, his shoulder did not come to any harm and kitty could get her food and medicine. But she is very unhappy being locked up in a room, so depending on what the wound looks like, I will take her back to her own home tomorrow. Never a dull moment =^..^=
