Last night I was conversing with a young lady who is also a college student. I recall her graduating HS a few years ago & assumed shed be a senior now so I said to her; hows it feel to be a senior this year? A look of shame came upon her face & she said; Miss Kelly, I should be a senior this year but my 2nd year was rough, some things happened & I wasnt focused like I should be so Im only a junior. She went on to say; but Ive been praying more & doing better with prioritizing & focussing and I feel like Im getting back on track. I just smiled at her with nothing less than pride, admiration, happiness & hope for her. I told her; honey your downfalls & mishaps dont define you, its the bounce back that really matters! Shes an example of how we should all be. We recognize our shortcomings & flaws & we do what needs to be done to get back on track when we lose focus. She couldve quit or took a break but she continued the fight & stayed in the race. Self evaluation, prayer & persistence works & is crucial for success!!! #MiddayMotivation
