Last night I was hanging out with my friend who works in a crime lab, where she does DNA testing from crime scenes. She was talking about work stuff, and how part of her job is disappointing detectives (because reality is not like CSI TV shows) and I found myself nodding along and also feeling, just for a few minutes, like she and I BOTH work in the law enforcement fields. LOL. Because I write about a detective, and Ive been doing a bit of crime research, I guess my brain just decided that we work in the same field. Hahah. Yes, I suppose I do become my characters while Im writing them... which is why I like the fun ones!
