Last night I went to The Refuge church and learned something valuable in what they call their Invitation to Community they state, at the refuge, everyone is safe, but no one is comfortable. As I just finished attending a seminary class in which we have different theologies, as well in our own churches and homes. A good statement is, we should feel safe, but not comfortable. Growing is uncomfortable. It hurts. I often give my kids Tylenol b/c they cant sleep b/c they are growing. Transformation is uncomfortable. Safety is a necessity, but comfort isnt. Lets live transformed lives. Lets live uncomfortably.
