Last night I went to the 2015 launch event of the Friends of Brighton Fringe. The Brighton Festival is the largest arts event in England and of course lots of it takes part in Hove (actually). It was appropriate therefore that last nights event took place in Brunswick Square and it showcased all the benefits of becoming a Friend of the Fringe. I readily admit that my tastes are probably a bit low-brow so if even I can see the value of becoming a Friend it must be good. Find out more here brightonfringe.org/friends/friends . Oh and of course a number of people pointed out that the election takes place at the end of the first week of the Festival - good to have some comedy and farce this year as one person pointed out.
