Last night Jamie Barton, who sings Katisha with us, sang to acclaim at Carnegie Hall. Now ask yourself, if this is the sort of singer who needs to fly back to New York to sing at Marilyn Hornes 80th Birthday, do you really want to miss her while shes here in Memphis? And if you have tickets already, then ask yourself: If Opera Memphis is the kind of company where a singer of her stature is willing to get up at 4 AM to fly back to for a second show, shouldnt you be telling all your friends to come?
