Last night Katie and I got to see American Sniper thanks to Cheryl for babysitting. Overall the movie was great, extremely intense and thought provoking. THANK YOU again to all the men and women who serve me and my family!!!! This morning I realized one powerful thing I will never forgot. There is one part in that movie where a young boy is brutally tortured in front of his father. Having 2 sons now that hit me like a ton of bricks. For the first time I realized how hard it would have been for God to send his Son to be tortured and murdered because he loved humanity too much to leave us alone to our own demise. To even contemplate such a thing done to my sons brings me to tears. Ill be the first to admit I argue probably too much about politics and such on Facebook because Im a person of conviction. However, if I can let my guard down, my wish is for everyone of my friends and family to experience a God that loves them with an intensity that when you begin to scratch the surface of it, it will rock you to your core. #john316 #americansniper
