Last night, Leanna Gillentine came to our house to make dinner for - TopicsExpress

Last night, Leanna Gillentine came to our house to make dinner for a bunch of our friends. When she took the big white bowl of mushy brown stuff out of the oven, she dropped it on the floor. I thought it was fine, since it landed right side up, but she growled, grabbed it and smashed it upside down. I was concerned that perhaps there might not be enough food for everyone then, but she said there was plenty and pointed to the counter top. I thought she was pointing to a big roll of large bubble wrap, but I noticed that each rectangular bubble contained a 2 tall baby chicken or turkey frozen in ice. Ghastly cartoonish depictions of death, their featherless wings were spread, heads lolling to the side, eyeballs large and protruding beneath purple lids, and tongues hanging out. I went to tell Bob that it was time for dinner by sliding open a window from the living room to a giant workshop where he and 4 others were planing plywood. He wouldnt be done for several more hours, but he seemed chipper enough. Our gray and white stripedy cat jumped in through the window and knocked a coffee cup down to smash on the concrete floor 12 below. Then she caught sight of our baby Blue Tailed Skink, pounced on it and got her claw stuck in its tail, which fell off. Grant and Austin and I re-attached the tail to the lizard with a safety pin. With its mouth, the Blue Tailed Skink grabbed the tail of our very large Iguana and dragged him backwards along the top of the couch. The Iguana hissed and moved its head back and forth, not knowing what was happening. We marveled at the strength of the baby Blue Tailed Skink. Two women arrived for dinner and were irritated that there was no more brown mushy stuff. Eyes rolling and mouths twisting and heads shaking, they left without taking off their coats and took their side-dishes with them. That was fine. I didnt even know them.
