Last night Meg and I went to see Chris Pureka in Northampton. It - TopicsExpress

Last night Meg and I went to see Chris Pureka in Northampton. It is one of our absolute favorite things to do. Seeing live music in general, and in particular our favorite singer/songwriter. Chriss music was my divorce recovery. I sang LOUD in my car to myself. She self proclaims that most of her songs are break up songs, and even if they are not break up songs, well then they could be. Theres something about her music though that tells such potent story I cant help but be moved to that raw heart place that even if it hurts it makes me inherently happy. She played a song last night (not this one) and reminded us all that WE ARE AS RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR INACTION AS OUR ACTION. Whoa...what an important reminder. Where are you NOT speaking up? Where are you staying quiet when you know in your bones, or that raw, pained heart spot that something should be done about something, something within or with the other humans or animals, or the plants or the planet? NOW is the time to do it. To SING IT LOUD so other people make their moves too. It is time to ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT AND GET IT. I practiced that last night. Chris said at the beginning of the show, no expectations, it was the last show of the tour and she had songs she was going to play. No requests were taken. When she came on for the encore, I called out LANDLOCKED because I needed to hear it. She played such an amazing show and I wanted so badly to sit with her in the vibration of that tune. And know what, she played it! (And then we took a selfie!) Speak up. Make your move. Ask for what you want. Get it. Be grateful. Move on to the next awesome thing. HAPPY SOLSTICE (tomorrow)! Enjoy the magic of the sparkle in the darkness. BRING ON THE LIGHT Heres the encore song I requested. So beautiful. I could listen to that picking over and over. (Ok, I actually do) https://youtube/watch?v=Zma4wPHUgM0
