Last night Mum was getting ready for bed. This includes getting me to bed so I dont destroy the house (as if). Just when I thought she was about to turn off the light she made a phone call. Something about the cat and needing the emergency vet. Next thing I knew she was up and dressed, Cocoa was in the carrier and I was locked in the bedroom with Latte. That wasnt right! How was Cocoa going to guide Mum? I watched through the window as she left - she had her cane. Unbelievable. They were gone for what seemed like forever. She says it was only a couple hours. I dont know... Anyway. I panicked a bit. It was 2am and I heard someone coming to the door and Mum wasnt with me and I was locked in a room... I barked. Loudly. Might have woken the neighbors but I was scared! Then I heard Mums voice. I stuck my head around the curtains and calmed down. Mum was back. Everything was OK. Cocoa is like the rest of us and has terrible timing with his medical issues. Im taking him to the regular vet this afternoon. Mum can come along too if she must. But not her cane.
