Last night after the Ticket to Ride show I spoke to many guests who expressed how much they loved the Beatles tribute. The sight of a packed lounge full of guests standing, waving glow sticks in the air and singing Hey Jude is something that stirs the soul. then met Davina, a guest who told me she remembered seeing the Beatles on the something Sullivan Show ( Ed is it?) and how much she enjoyed the Ticket To Ride performance I then spoke with two guests who are on their second honeymoon having been married for 22 years, divorced for 8 years and married again for 2 weeks. They told me how Carnival has been such an important part of their lives as they had their first honeymoon on the Festivale and here they are for round 2 on the Carnival Miracle. And then just as I was leaving the lounge I saw a lady in tears, terrible tears and she and her husband told me something that in all my years at sea I had never heard before and that was quite simply one of the most awful things I have heard. I honestly could not believe someone would do this...........and I will write a blog about it for tomorrow. Still in shock here, I really am.
