Last night and today for 24hrs has simply been EPIC!! From the support of the Basecamp family, the laughs, the live guitar and sing song, the train the trainer, flapjacks, name that tune 80s stylee! Superheroes, bacon butties, champagne, fruit & cakes, las vegas, france, california coast and Canterbury!! Acting out songs to almost sleep cycling... i can barely string a sentence together, nor can i sit down properly... those aches will go but the memories will last! What you have showed me is what an amazing community we have, no competition (well not much eh Neil Edwards? ;-) ), no egos, amazing generosity, thoughtfulness and no selfishness from those who took part or have liked, commented, sponsored or joined in! We are a community club, without our community we could not survive and have the club that YOU have built with us, we love what we do, we have devoted our life to it, these types of events not only help make people aware of how AWESOME you all are and raise money for great charities, but also help get us known out there. We cant afford luxury, top notch advertising campaigns but we can give back to our community and working with Lynn & Bill Morris for the Kenyan Schools Project. we are supporting locals who do an amazing job! Everybody who got involved with the Spinnathon should be VERY VERY proud of themselves...James and I want to thank you all for giving up your time to help support us and most of all make the event as FUN as it was! We were very fortunate to have the Shropshire Star turn up to do a photo so please look out for that but also a TV company came and filmed and interviewed us and fingers crossed they will show something about community based fitness sometime in the new year and will help show people how AMAZING you all are :) So, be PROUD, be HAPPY and please.. SLEEP WELL!! To Francesca Elner for doing 13hrs and brilliant selfies, Mattie Slawson for his 6 flapjack fuelled hours then returning to do another hour at the end, to Joanna Peterson for bacon butties at 3am, and of course my wingman Laura shorty Edwards #14 ;-) whose giggles and joining in my stupidity helped get us through oh and Jen Edwards for the most awesome coffee making!!!
