Last night as I was trying to fall to sleep, I was thinking... One year ago, we were anxiously awaiting the birth of MILES DANIEL BRUNNER So Anxious! SO EXCITED! On October 31, 2012 Miles Daniel Brunner Came into the world... He was so Beautiful, 10 fingers, 10 toes The whole deal... We were all on cloud Nine... Miles was very quiet, not eating real well, but the hospital said, It would just take time... Being the Great parents they are Matt and Amy became concerned...At five days of age Miles was taken to Hershey Medical Center and placed on Life Support in the Pediatric ICU. WOW, What is happening? You see before this none of us had ever heard of NONKETOTIC HYPERGLYCINEMIA (NKH) Those three letterS can just Rock your world to the Core! It has been quit the journey for Matt and Amy and particular Miles...and all of Miles extended families... MILES IS OUR HERO! Like so many of the children that Have been diagnosed With NKH, Miles keeps Fighting on... Hopefully this helps you all to Understand the urgent need for NKH RESEARCH... Each and everyone of these children have loved ones that are fighting daily with meds and seizures, most of all the unknown... We spend a great deal of time in Prayer Trying to find ways we can help! This is how SMILES FOR MILES came about... May God Bless each and everyone of the precious children, and their families... WE ALL BELIEVE WE CAN UNITE AND HELP THE RESEARCH TEAM AT UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO FIND A CURE❤ ALWAYS BELIEVE IN MIRACLES
