Last night as we were just outside of Cloudcroft, we saw 2 small animals along the edge of the road, jumping around. We thought it was 2 bobcats until one ran in front of us, with the other following closely at full speed. The first critter was a coyote, and the second animal was a raccoon. The coyote had a baby raccoon in his mouth and mama was chasing it! Dave honked at the coyote, scared it and it dropped the baby and ran down the hill. Mama ran and got the baby and went the opposite direction. I really was wishing I had a camera, best show Id seen in a long time!
