Last night at 930 pm, my grandmother Ana Silvia passed away after a long struggle with illness and pain. May she rest in peace! She was and will always be an inspiration to me on so many levels and in her memory I will be curling my hair and wearing wine red lipstick until she is buried. She always wanted me to do this for myself and be the beautiful girl she said she envisioned me as, so for her I will do this. I miss you and will always love you abuelita Silvia and I will forever cherish our late night slumber parties and whispered conversations. And how you would always tell me you were thinking hard when you were really snoozing. You excepted me as your granddaughter when I felt so lost and disconnected from everyone. Even when we didnt share blood, because of that I will never forget that you were so special to me.
