Last night at 9pm my grandmother passed away. To my family and friends who sent their sympathy wishes thank you. My grandmother was a special lady she was not only my grandmother, but she was grandmother to all my friends. I realized later in life that I was fortunate because some people never get to have a grandmother. I have childhood memories like the time I told her I wanted a pumpkin pie and she made me a sweet potato pie and fooled me for years until she confessed. :). Although she suffered from dementia later in life it was those rare moments when she would look back as say things which make you think. She always said that as she got older that after every birthday she would celebrate that day and then forget about it. That was how she took getting older she just didnt think about it. I will admit that it was hard for me to visit as she got older and was pretty much bed ridden but I dont have any regrets because I made time to see her. I know she is no longer suffering and she is watching over all of her family. To all my family and friends grandmother or auntie is gone but she will never be forgotten. RIP grandmother.
