Last night at English with Niamh we did things in reverse, firstly we learned some more phrases relevant to the individuals, and then we went back to revision. Already the crowd are getting into the swing of things and are trying to put other words they have learned to make their own sentences. Who cares if they get it wrong to start? My aim is that they will learn with confidence, and that is already showing, so a big BRAVO for some really good attempts. Once we got the laughter out of the way, I then told them how the sentences should be said, and how to construct them. For beginners, last night was a real leap forward, and Ill make English speakers out of them yet. Only problem is............. and isnt there always a problem..................I am begining to hear a slight Limerick accent coming back at me!!! Good or bad?! Who knows, it remains to be seen, but it has shown me that I must be on the ball with my own pronounciations. Forgot my music last night, but we laughed so much I think we made our own music and didnt need any other! The best beginners night so far.
