Last night at about 10.30 pm I was driving in front of Pavilion and it was such a sorry sight for tourism. I was with a close friend from Dubai and we saw no less than 5 families trying to get a ride from the whole row of cabs park there. My guess is that they must have refused to ride because of no meter used or simply the cab do not want to take them wherever they want to go. Most of them were carrying many shopping bags. Looks like they were so happy with their shopping as the Ringgit is falling but angry to face such "cabby" situation after. Further down Sultan Ismail, the scene is the same for 3 other groups. Cabs stop and haggle and yet no pick up, holding up traffic... Want to guess what they will be telling their folks back home? Used to remember that Bangkok and Jakarta had one of the worst taxi service, but look at them now... Cabs are queuing to take you wherever you want to go and even at wee hours of the morning... They are there when you need it. Still wondering why they are getting more international tourist without counting the cross border type????
