Last night ended Kylees 2 year journey at the Miss North Carolinas Outstanding Teen Program. It was such a bittersweet night as she not only gave up her Miss Cabarrus County Outstanding Teen title but also was able to do so as her Cousin McKenzie Jade Faggart as her Miss, her cousin Madison Taylor Faggart by her side as the Miss NC Carolina Princess and her precious Carolina Princess of 2 years Brinley Mineroldi all as one court. I have watched Kylee mature so much through her experiences through this program. Her life long friends that she has gained, the support of so many friends throughout the 2 years to cheer her on and the growth through the community service that she has performed has blossomed her into this young lady that I am so very proud of. There are so many people that will forever hold a special place in our hearts for the love and support that they have shown through this amazing journey. I have had so many people ask if it was worth the money and the sacrifices that we have made and my only answer without hesitation is YES!!! The fact that she asked her dad to allow her to reclass at school so that she could compete at NCOT one more year speaks volumes especially if you know Kylee and know how much she is ready to graduate. Her dad said NO without hesitation lol. If there is anyone who may be on the fence about competing... Do not wait another year, do it! Win or loose, crown or no crown, you come out a winner in the end! Cant wait to be at state this year to cheer on all of our friends!!
