Last night i attempted to see the 21 Years of Aap Ki Adalats special show on youtube and i couldnt go beyond 18 minutes, that too with great difficulty. After that i felt that if i dare to see the whole episode, either i will vomit or leave reporting forever. We all have seen conclaves and submits and grand discussions done in grand gatherings. But nothing, absolutely NOTHING can be more shameful than a journalist standing between President and Prime Minister and smiling cannily while the Prime Minster spends 6 minutes praising his so called soft and sweet interview skills. It was worse than seeing editors keeling down and crawling in-front of politicians for a Padma award or just to shake hands with them. It was more petty and trivial than seeing journalists dying to get close to politicians, turn into PROs and then brag about it. That show reflects,in a sense, the slow death of journalism in India.
