Last night i launched a lighting project in Kibera From independence This is the first time the government has reached Kibera and we promise that it is here to stay My government has enmarked of several project to upgrade kibera project The National Youth Service under the ministry of Devolution has deployed in Kibera to also built toilet and also clean up sewerages where atleast 3000 Kibra youths have been employed to work alongside The NYS as part of the Youth Empowerment program through which they earn salaries This youth projects,has also extended for another 6 month to complete the work of cleaning and upgrading the slumsAfter the end of NYS programme The kibra Youths will be empowed to sustaine the project started in the area Tools like bricks making machines wil be handed to the Youthsso that they can use them for income generating activities The posho mill being runned by NYS by kibra will be handed over to the youth groups amd the arrangement will be made with the national cereals and produce board.so that they get maize at subcidise priceA stadium will also be build on the groud where we held a meeting so that kibera youth can have their own sporting stadium Kibera will also have free WIFI to allow talented Youths to use the internet for beneficial purposes~~~~UHURU KENYATTA #JAMHURIDAYCELEBRATION
