Last night in Bible Study the pastor was in our small table group. We were discussing the Good Samaritan which he aptly preached on that morning and rehashed moments earlier. Now he kept repeating, but in the real world..sounding to me as excuse after excuse why it is no longer doable..and I had enough. I said....there is no reason to ever teach that which is unattainable. And the God of all creation knows that better than any. He plain out said we could not understand full knowledge of him ..his ways and thoughts far above our own So what he did say we can do are indeed very doable. He said he would have us doing better things then did Jesus, by means of the Holy Spirit... If we yield our ways to his. Pastor agreed and then hit the nail on the head..squarely...accurately.. He said..but I believe there are many good Christians and they are good Christians..well meaning people....But they for many worldly reasons quit fighting the battle...ouch...right on cue...Gaithers had a song..Let the Church be the Church...wake up you slumbering power of Gods hand...stop allowing the world about you to lull you into the neutral zone...that is a defeated zone...A valiant warrior will not cower and knows from where comes his power... Lets be the Church...Not just picture posers with nice smiles but wearing excuses why we never advance forward. In Jesus name everything is to bow....do you see them bow or afraid of the cost?
