Last night in Valletta - tonight. The end of an era...not looking back as its such a sad city Im leaving. It is never good when a place is so mired in history, it wont even see the present, let alone the future. Business and tourists do not give full-throttle energy to a city - this is only a fleeting, deceiving jolt of life. Buskers and artists are the only bright spot during the day, and at night time, the quaint wine bars and theatre bring in a few quarts of fresh, vibrant blood. Other than that, there is no soul here, except those of the long-term ghostly residents.
