Last night in the pit my stand partner got hit in the shoulder by a lego toy that a child had tossed in. At the intermission the kid threw in a superball, which bounced off the empty chair of a colleague. Initially I was annoyed. I picked up the toy and got on the podium; the kids dad was there and when he saw my face he said My son has autism. The dad was obviously stressed and doing his best to keep his kid in check. For me, it was a good reminder that I should ask first, before getting angry.
