Last night, is one of the reasons I love Reno. I may have to start a blog... I was walking down Virginia St in my snazzy (per Seven, and I like the statement) outfit. I saw some travelers sitting against the wall of CommRow. I had seen them earlier in the day down by the river as i drove by so I chose to sit down next to them. They had come up from rosevill, CA and got stuck in Truckee the night before. One had an adorable pit bull puppy named Bruiser to which I laughed because it was so very cute. Its mother, Athena, was with one of the other travelers. They were all making decisions where they were headed next and were about to part ways. After talking for a bit I pulled out a 20 to give to the person I was talking to as long as they split it with the others. I was headed to play Roulette with my fun money, I wasnt planning on having it at the end of the night anyway. Might as well give a part of it to some people other than the casino. :) As I stood up and walked away one of the others piped up. Hey man, can you spare a 10 or 20? Not expecting I would, but brazen enough to ask for that amount. I kept walking but turned and said She has it already. He was all confused and looked over only to exclaim with complete surprise Hey man, THANKS! I gave a good HappyFeet laugh, waved, and simply exclaimed Have a great night! That was how the night started... ;) From there I walked through Eldorado, Silver Legacy, and Circus Circus looking for a roulette table that looked interesting. I found it in Circus Circus. Not too full with room and people having a little fun. I played for hours reading the table dealers and how they were each spinning the ball so I could maintain my hedge bets and play around with others. I was up and down all night. Met some fun people from out of town that sat down at the table. We all played around on the table. I watched people loose, and win but I stayed fairly steady all night. The couple I met that sat across the table had gotten married that day, and she was regularly teasing him about things. It was cute really. They were doth early 40s had both been married before and he had kids. Then this happened.... I asked for their names. He said his was Jason and hers was Beth... pause... err uh Nia. Yes he called his new bride by his ex-wifes name while on the casino floor during the first night of their Honeymoon. Hahaha, deep breath, Hahaha! I blushed for him, really, and said as much. She took it in stride and teased him with a strait face. Saying Yup. That just happened. A few minutes later I smoothed it over when I said simply, I have no idea what youre talking about. He said he is Jason and you are Nia. As I winked, And we continued playing and having fun. We all played the game. I tipped the dealers and when I started winning I was yelling like a drunk man, because I was, lol! The dealer kept teasing me about yelling in her ear and I kept tipping as an apology. At one point I gave Jason and Nia each 5x $1 chips and said play them where you will as a thank you for such a fun random encounter. They both won a little bit. :) My jewelry then came up as it normally does when Im wearing it. Lots of laughter about jewelry saying it is Silver and hypoallergenic but still giving her blisters. She took my info and will be looking at what I have. At the end of the night as I was leaving the dealer whose ear I was yelling in saw me walking around and motioned me over as she was off. She thanked me for playing because I was what had made the table fun. Such a good time! In the end, I discovered a new favorite outfit, I played roulette for over 4 hours, drank more greyhounds than I can recall, had a wonderful time, helped some travelers, paid tips on everything, shared some chips with a fun couple who made my night and I walked home with $40 less than I had walked out with. Another winning night in Reno playing roulette. ;D
