Last night members of MCR were alerted to a beautiful Sable GSD in San Antonio (SAPA) shelter. The post stated that he had a injured back leg and he was schedule to be PTS at 10 A.M. this morning. The MCR Team worked feverishly through out the night to raise funds and get this baby tagged and safe. With literally 3 MINUTES left before his time was up, we pulled off a miracle and now Reindeer (who will be known in the future as Gabriel) is safe at the Callahan Road Animal Hospital and is recieving treatment for an abscess and gash on his inner right thigh that spans across reaching his scrotum, and weighing in at a very skinny 35 pounds. Vet reports that he has multiple puncture wounds from a dog attack. The wounds are infected but no broken bones. He has been started on antibiotics and they are draining the wounds.
