Last night my 10 year old daughter informed me that her bus driver had changed. Something about her bus driver always gave me the creeps. I asked if she knew why he left? She said, I will email him and find out. I asked why she had his email address. She told me he gave her his business card before he left. I told her that was inappropriate for him to encourage her to contact him outside of the school environment. She assured me he was fine and is a super nice guy. She added that he is a performer and has a girl friend that he ties up with rope and she has to try to escape. When I picked up my jaw off the floor, I assured her I needed to address this behavior, as this guy crossed multiple lines and was demonstrating multiple red flags for a child predator. She begged me not to get him fired, continuing to assure me hes really cool and a friend of hers. His business makes cool clothes and food for kids! In looking him up, the business doesnt actually exist. Assuming preventatively and permanently restraining him was not on my personal menu, any thoughts on the best next step? My goals are to protect, not only my kids, but the innocence of children all over from what I fear this man may represent. I dont want to falsely accuse or overreact, but I sincerely picture this guys warming signs to be worthy of notifying the authorities. Do you notify the school, the police, the FBI, the pagans?
