Last night my GF and I had din, din at a Pizza Ranch establishment - TopicsExpress

Last night my GF and I had din, din at a Pizza Ranch establishment in the Jones County area. We were their last customer of the evening. As we set down to eat I noticed a person doing some touching sign language etc. with one of the employees and in the general public area where we were sitting and about to dine. The manager served us our order and told us this person was blind, deaf and mute and washed dishes there as an employee. He proceeded to tell us a bit about her and I want to share this with my facebook friends. She is married (her husband came, via automobile, and picked her up at closing time and they have children. The manager told us she is a VERY FINE employee. The couple and their family make their home about 10 miles or so from this business. When the husband came to get her, she was reading braille in a very large book. No idle moments for her! I noticed the love that the couple had and it radiated from both and NOT a single SPOKEN word was exchanged! On our return home that eve, I mentioned to my girlfriend that here was a VERY handicapped person WORKING at a job while sooooo many other folks in our society sit on their(lazy) butts, do very little or nothing daily and expect someone else to house, feed and clothe them etc. when they are mentally and physically able to work at DOING SOMETHING that contributes positively TO society and our Countrys economic well being. This employee likely could WELL qualify, legitimately, for welfare and other social programs but yet she (likely) chose, instead, integrity, CONTRIBUTING TO society and not TAKING FROM others. In my book, she is a number ONE citizen that deserves respect and certainly much more!!!
